Should I finish this Knitting Project?

IMG_3796 IMG_3797

Please comment. Should I finish this knitting project?

I made this coronet hat with this pattern from knitty.com.

http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter03/PATTcoronet.html

It doesn't have a matching scarf, so I just doubled the cabled part instructions.

So here's what I did:

Row 1: K2, p2, k9, p2, k4, p2, k9, p2, k2.

Row 2: P2, k2, p9, k2, p4, k2, p9, k2, p2.

Row 3: K2, p2, sl next 3 sts onto cable needle leaving needle in front of work, k3, k 3 sts from cable needle, k3, p2, k4, p2, sl next 3 sts onto cable needle leaving needle in front of work, k3, k 3 sts from cable needle, k3, p2, k2.

Row 4: Repeat second row.

Row 5: Repeat first row.

Row 6: Repeat second row.

Row 7: K2, p2, k3, sl next 3 sts onto cable needle leaving cable needle in back of work, k3, K3 sts from cable needle, p2, k4, p2, k3, sl next 3 sts onto cable needle leaving cable needle in back of work, k3, K3 sts from cable needle, p2, k2.

Row 8: Repeat second row.

Talk to Me Review

Saw a sneak preview tonight for Talk to Me.

I give it a B+.

The film had a pretty good theme. I think the message was to "tell it like it is" and "stay true to yourself". It tied in some historical events to the storyline in an almost comical way like Forrest Gump. The foul language and "explicit" scenes were mild. The foul language and "explicit" scenes were minimal and necessary to the story's context. The movie is comparable to "The Pursuit of Happyness". Some scenes didn't tie into the story as well as they could have. And the movie starts off slow. And the director could have developed the character and complexity of "Petey" more, but given the ending -it's understandable. Those are the only negative comments that I have.

Great Band called Everybody Else

I think Everybody Else's song "In Memoriam" would be a great song to have on ABC's "October Road". It's so bubbly and bittersweet.

http://www.myspace.com/everybodyelse

took a sip from a bottle of orange soda
suddenly you were back
on my bike years ago
while sharing the camera
you passed by, so quickly

I remember you
so remember me
as I was back then
in my ripped blue jeans
moments ago
It seems to me
that we were just kids
in a memory

I still see the blue, sunken barge
down by the shore and I
can taste the blackberry juice on our fingers
but there’s an echo of careless, callow footsteps
that run by so quickly

I remember you
so remember me
as I was back then
in my ripped blue jeans
moments ago
It seems to me
that we were just kids in a memory
in a memory

It feels good to forget how wonderful it was
in the noise of a crowd
but sometimes cars in the night
sound like the ocean and
then I swear
I'm back there
seems so real
it disappears

I remember you
so remember me
as I was back then
in my ripped blue jeans
moments ago
It seems to me that we were just kids in a memory
moments ago
It seems to me
that we were just kids
in a memory
moments ago
It seems to me
that we were just kids in a memory
in a memory
in a memory
